About Che Hondo
Che Hondo was born in Washington DC. He attended weekend & summer classes, as a youth, at Corcoran College of Art & Design studying drawing & pottery. He studied in the visual arts at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, in Washington DC and majored in visual design & communication, at Virginia State University. In his student career he has studied drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, print making, photography, 2-D concepts and design. Che considers himself to be a self taught painter practicing mostly out side of school. At the age of 19, Che began taking commissions for portrait work in medias including graphite, color pencil, acrylic & oil.
